I'm so so excited to be able to share my work with ImmersionEd on their upcoming American Revolution Series! I was responsible for creating a second wave of props and textures, as well as set dressing to help bring more life and authenticity to the game's main scene.
I'm particularly proud of how much I got to refine and expand my skills as a 3D artist, developing these modular props with uses beyond just set dressing, producing versatile trim sheets using Substance Designer, and really solidifying my understanding of real-time rendering in Unreal Engine. The Carriage was definitely one of my favorite parts of the process, as I pushed myself to gain a better understanding of uses of multiple UV sets in creating customized grunge masks to add a bit more life to the carriage up close.
I also had an absolute blast conducting extensive historical research to ensure that the props I was creating were both period accurate, and helped subtly tell the story of the commercial hub of Colonial Boston. It was a fun challenge getting to work on a more realistic project, and I'm SO excited to apply the skills I've learned in future projects!!
A huge thank you to the team's art lead, https://www.artstation.com/andrewwilliams5 for all the helpful feedback and skills provided throughout my time with this project!
