Compiling some of my work from Grape Juice City, a project I was fortunate enough to work on for 9 months with 14 other developers from 2022-23. As the project lead, I was responsible for a large amount of the overall art direction as we worked to find the look and style of the overall game. There were so many valuable contributions from each member of the team that helped bring it to the point it's at today!
From the beginning, I knew that as the game was essentially going to be a popularity contest of marketing between the teams of the game, and so my ultimate goal for exhibiting the game was to offer real-world beverages, which I eagerly began forming designs for. I wanted to use the competition between teams to stir up hype for fans of the game, encouraging them to rally behind their favorite team and be entertained by the fictional squabbles between the people of GJC.
